How ARR sir led to a break-up

It all started with the NDTV's "I did it my way" promo. My anticipations soared, sky high and I was waiting for the D-day. The day, 26th june started and I was expecting it to end soon cos the interview was at 10 PM!!!.Had a friends marriage to attend and I scurried home despite the usual traffic and unusual rains in Chennai!.
9 pm..., the power went off! and between all the curses about the EB, I was praying for the power to be restored (didn't use my inverter as I saved it for later...). 9:50 pm, the power was restored and after a short thanks to the Almighty, switched on the TV and tuned in NDTV and I was waiting for the program to start.
When the program started I nearly whistled like I used to, for the first day first show of a Rajnikanth movie..The volume was increased, the eyes glued, the mouth twitching into a short smile whenever Sir cracked a joke..9:15...EB showed its true colours once again..But thankfully my inverter had enough power and also a live streaming was available on the web. Without wasting a single minute I ran to my PC and continued watching the show even without thinking of sitting down.
Amidst such anticipation and stuff, I got a phone call from my friend. I wouldn't have minded it if i had received it during the songs,(which was frustrating btw). But the timing was spot on...It came right when Sir was answering some question. And there was nothing important too, just a time pass call. Was really annoyed and I said as diplomatically as I could, that I watching so and so program and that I'll call later and disconnected the call.
Today at college, there was a huge panchayat regarding my action, the previous night. This guy, who called yesterday, after a few glaring stares came up to me and asked a simple question, "Is A.R.Rahman more important to you than our friendship". I didn't think even for a while and replied even before he completed the question that ARR sir is important. I guess he didn't expect the answer and was really shocked :). He stepped away without saying a single word. I was standing there, not regretting what i said, but thinking, "Whats wrong with this guy, he knows I'm a Rahmaniac and that I keep ARR sir on par with my parents". So I didn't even think of consoling him and the entire day passed on without him speaking or even turning his face towards me...:)..:)
Even now I don't think there is a need to console that guy. In fact I'm enjoying how ARR sir indirectly led to such a fight (funny right???:D:D...)...So thats how ARR sir led to a break up ;-D;-D...Will post again when that guy talks, which i guess must take atleast a week as I have this habit of reminding people that they are angry with me....:D:D
ELLAM ORU ENTERTAINMENT DHAAN!!!! :D:D:D:D
Thank you for reading such a long and boring post. I thought i should share this with some one. Thank you and Cheers....:)
